The 103th running of the Indianapolis 500 is next Sunday, but this past weekend marked the second year in a row in which there were crunch qualifications to be done. After missing out last year, James Hinchliffe was once again in the situation of having to race his way in on the last day of qualifying.
He was joined by five others, all vying for three spots, with the biggest name of the bunch being two-time Formula 1 World Champion Fernando Alonso. Unfortunately for Alonso, who did so well two years ago at Indy in his first outing, he did not make the top three of the six and thus was sent home. Will the Spaniard give it a go again or will this be the last we see of him?
