The Houston Astros continued their hot streak, once again scoring a bundle of runs, on Monday night in an 8-1 lopsided win over the Detroit Tigers. Four men, including Alex Bregman, hit homers as they kept up what has been a torrid offensive pace of late.
Monday’s win followed up two wins over the Rangers in which they had scored 15 and 11 runs, respectively and gives them nine wins out of the last ten, taking them into a comfy 6.5 game lead atop the AL West at this early stage. You just can’t see this team ever failing to score runs. It’s just a juggernaut and it’s going to be hard to keep them out of the postseason for years and years to come.
