Athletes Who Protested The National Anthem

Also on Sept 1st, Jeremy Lane of the Seattle Seahawks sat during the national anthem. He would become the first non-49er to protest the anthem.

His protest came just minutes after Kaepernick and Reid knelt. When asked about it following the game, he stated that he was just standing behind Kaepernick and would keep doing so until he felt like justice was being served.
