Oklahoma quarterback and Heisman frontrunner Baker Mayfield had a phenomenal game in a 40-3 win over the Kansas Jayhawks, but the attention surrounding him after the game was not about is performance.

Instead, it was about his actions taken on the field after the Jayhawks captains did not shake his hand immediately following the coin flip just before the game started.

Mayfield was seen grabbing his crotch and gesturing towards the Jayhawks. He also was seen getting in the face of multiple players throughout the game.

“What I did was unacceptable,” Mayfield said, via ESPN. “I’m a competitive player, but what I did was unacceptable and disrespectful, and I truly do apologize.”

This is what Mayfield told reporters after the game. He also issued a statement via twitter apologizing for his actions.

This is not the first time Mayfield has apologized for something he did as he did so earlier in the season after planting the Oklahoma flag on the Ohio State logo after the Sooners topped the Buckeyes in Columbus.
