The Buffalo Bills just will not go away, will they? The AFC East is supposed to be all about the New England Patriots, yet the Bills are proving to be some of their best competition in a long, long time this season. On Thanksgiving, they displayed that on the road in Dallas with a 26-15 win over the Cowboys that took them to 9-3 on the season.

It was a trick play that helped them accomplish it, and they had gottten a little lucky with a fumble recovery and subsequent first down, but they all count. Dak Prescott did eat up the Bills’ vaunted defense for 355 yards, but turnovers ultimately doomed the Cowboys, who fell to 6-6. One step forward, one step back for them. In the first game of the day, it was the Chicago Bears who defeated the Detroit Lions 24-20 to keep up their playoff hopes. Mitchell Trubisky had a rare good day with over 330 yards in the air and three TD’s, including a three-yard pass to David Montgomery with just over two minutes to go to seal it. That puts them at 6-6, and while they have work to do, they still have a chance.
