The Golden State Warriors got off to the ideal start to their Western Conference Finals series with the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night, winning 116-94 to take a 1-0 lead.
Without Kevin Durant yet again, the Oakland faithful helped lead their team to a dominant victory in what is expected to be a fairly routine, for this level of the playoffs at least, series for the two time defending champions. Steph Curry ended up finishing with 36 points, extending his extraordinary record without Durant on the floor with him. Klay Thompson added 26 of his own, with Damian Lillard only mustering 19 as all of the Blazers each failed to get over the 20 point threshold. The series will remain in Oakland for Game 2 on Thursday.
