The situation surrounding Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Dez Bryant and his deal with the Cowboys has been at the forefront of the NFL rumor mill heading into the draft.
Owner Jerry Jones had a meeting with Bryant this morning, and it appears that the Cowboys will make a very unexpected decision by releasing him. Jones has made it clear that the organization was not happy with the return they received from Bryant after signing his five-year $70 million contract.
Cowboys expected to release WR Dev Bryant today, barring an unexpected last-minute change of heart, per @toddarcher and me. But the plan going into meeting that is now underway was to part ways with Bryant.

Bryant has spent all eight years of his career with the Cowboys and currently holds the franchise record for most touchdown receptions with 73.
This is huge news in the NFL world, as a very good wide receiver is now on the market. For the Cowboys, it takes away the best wide receiver on a team that already did not have much depth at the position.
For other teams in the NFL, it give them the option to pick up a very good wide receiver. While Bryant has underperformed in the latter parts of his career, he is still a very skilled receiver.
Expect Bryant to be picked up by a team in the near future.
