At the moment, no one can, apparently, bring a halt to the impressive play of Luka Doncic. Not even James Harden, at least that was the case on Sunday. The Dallas Mavericks star put up 41 points, ten assists, and ‘just’ six rebounds as he led them to a 137-123 win over the Houston Rockets that put them at 11-5 on the season.
Harden finished with a nice line of his own, consisting of 32 points, nine boards, and 11 assists, but it was not nearly enough to hold back Doncic. The Mavs never even gave the Rockets a chance here, either, not allowing them to lead at any point in the game. Despite the run they are on, which does now include a five-game winning streak, Doncic remains dead focused on making it to the playoffs. And rightfully so. That’s what is expected now, and will be the only acceptable outcome given how good he and their current group is.
