Becca Longo Could Be The First Female NFL Player

The second female football player to serve as Longo’s motivation was Katie Hnida. Longo learned about her accomplishments through her coach, Gerald Todd. In 2002, Todd’s brother Everett Todd, now a defensive coordinator at Grambling State, served as an assistant coach for the University of New Mexico’s Lobos.

That year, under Everett Todd’s coaching, Hnida became the first female to play in a Division I college game.
