There were a few college football match ups on Black Friday this year, and a lot of them happened to be featuring teams in the lower reaches of the top 25. One of them was Iowa, the #17 team in the country, who took on, and defeated, the Nebraska Cornhuskers 27-24 thanks to a late field goal that ended up giving kicker Keith Duncan a scholarship.
The win took them to 9-3 on the year, a respectable record for sure. #18 Memphis got the lone win of the day against a ranked opponent, downing #19 Cincinnati 34-24. Brady White had two touchdown passes for 233 yards, while receiver Damonte Coxie showed out with 145 yards receiving and a TD of his own. As a result, the Tigers laid claim the Western division of the AAC and will not host the AAC title game.
