Game 3 of the NBA Finals might come down to which team can field five players on the court. Of course, we jest, but it’s looking more like an injury list these days that a series full of superstars. Steve Kerr confirmed on Tuesday that Kevin Durant would once again miss out. While that’s a disappointment, it’s not exactly a surprise since we have not seen him for some time.
The news about Klay Thompson, however, is slightly shocking. It was revealed by the coach that he would be questionable for Wednesday night’s game in Oakland against the Toronto Raptors, and it means that the Golden State Warriors might just have to lean entirely- or just about- on Steph Curry and Draymond Green if they want to take a 2-1 lead over the Canadians.
