Kevin Durant Scores 39 Points In First Game Against Former Team Oklahoma City Thunder

After a bumpy start, the Golden State Warriors have won their last 4 games. Their latest win came with a lot of help from superstar Kevin Durant.

Before the game, Durant made it seem like it would be just like any other game, but his demeanor on the court proved otherwise. This was the first game Durant played against his former team of 8 years, the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Durant made 7 3-pointers in the game, tying his career high. He scored 39 points in just 31 minutes of play. Stephen Curry and the Thunder’s Victor Oladipo had the next highest scoring outputs at 21 each.

Russell Westbrook on the other hand, who was the league leader in scoring coming into the game with 37.8 points per game, only scored 20 points in the loss.

The Thunder, Warriors and Spurs now find themselves in a 3-way tie atop the western conference with 4-1 records while the Cleveland Cavaliers are still the only team in the league that are undefeated with a 5-0 record.
