LaGarrette Blount makes beast mode-esque 68-yard run

LaGarette Blount was, at one point, the best running back in the league.

Up there with him has also been Marshawn Lynch, who has infamously become known as “beast mode” for his insane runs.

Perhaps his most memorable runs came in the playoffs against the New Orleans Saints.

This past weekend, when the Philadelphia Eagles played the San Diego Chargers, Blount put together a run that was reminiscent of Lynch’s run years ago. It is uncanny how similar the two plays are.

Just like Lynch, Blount split through the middle of the offensive line, made a few men miss and then stiff-armed a defender into oblivion. While it did not have as much flare as Lynch’s run did, it was surely one that NFL fans will not forget.

While these two are not the players the once where, they are still very solid contributors on their respective teams. They have very similar run styles. They can go around a defender, but would prefer to go by more physical and go directly through them.

Regardless, this likely won’t be the last time we see highlights from these running backs. They have a lot of good years left in them.
