Leonard Gets Ring, Applause, And Win Upon Return To Toronto

Returning to the place where you just left is rarely an easy thing to do in sports. A lot times you will hear boos, quite loud ones, persistently. Fans don’t really see why you could have left. In Toronto, however, that trend was bucked in a major way as Kawhi Leonard returned to ‘The North’ for the first time since winning the team the NBA Finals back in the summer.

The LA Clippers star got a little bit of everything on Wednesday night. The MVP was awarded his championship ring, got massive applause from his former fans, and even saw his team take away a 112-92 victory. He led his team in scoring, posting 23, though former teammate Pascal Siakam pipped him by one to lead all scorers. The win puts the Clippers back at .500 on the road (6-6), while taking them to an overall record of 19-7. If they can figure out their road play, they will be an absolute force. The Raptors, meanwhile, are now 16-8, with just three of those losses coming at home.
