It’s never a good thing when you go down to ten men inside the first 15 minutes of a game, but that’s what happened to Southampton at home in the Premier League on Friday night against Leicester City. Even with that happening, however, no one would have expected them to end up losing 0-9 to the Foxes.
That’s exactly what occurred, though, with many records in the league being set by the visiting team. Both Ayoze Perez and Jamie Vardy scored hat tricks, and they recorded the biggest road win in the league’s history. It tied the largest ever win in the division as well, which is quite the achievement. They scored five before the half-time break and four after, never letting their foot off the gas as they romped to a win that’s had to believe.
