There are a lot of good teams in the NBA right now that find themselves on long winning streaks. The Lakers, Bucks, and Clippers are the ones that most everyone is talking about, but one team that deserves a lot of praise for unexpectedly being as good as they are is the Toronto Raptors.

The defending NBA champions came into the season as an afterthought due to the departure of Kawhi Leonard in the summer. However, that has not slowed them down much at all, at least in terms of the regular season. They got their fifth win in a row on Wednesday night, taking them up to 13-4 on the season and an unblemished 8-0 at home, thanks to a 126-98 victory over the woeful New York Knicks. Pascal Siakam helped them set their franchise’s home winning run record by putting up 31 points on their helpless foes. OG Anunoby had one of his best nights, too, scoring 13 points and grabbing 12 boards for an impressive double-double. Julius Randle led the Knicks with 19 points a loss that was ensured virtually after half time.
