One team was always guaranteed to soar to greater heights on Sunday evening, and when the dust had settled it was the Seattle Seahawks that did so, winning by a score of 17-9 over the pesky Philadelphia Eagles. Jadeveon Clowney changed the game in a big way early on, knocking Philly QB Carson Wentz out of the game yet again, meaning that veteran Josh McCown would be making his postseason debut.
He played admirably, but it was hardly enough for them to win as he and the offense could only produce three field goals against the visitors. Russell Wilson was superb for the Seahawks, racking up 370 yards total yards, 325 of which came through the air. He had one touchdown, when he found DK Metcalf on a spectacular 53-yarder. That put them up 17-6 at the time, and it virtually took all of the air out of the Eagles. Metcalf finished with seven grabs, a TD, and 160 yards in the win.
