Team USA’s squad for the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup has had plenty of ups and downs so far. Players have decided not to play, players have been injured, and now we have the first cuts. After facing a ‘Select team’ in an exhibition on Friday, in which the big team won 97-78, it was announced that Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young and Miami Heat forward Bam Adebayo had been cut.

Two players were, however, picked from the Select team to replace them, and they were Marvin Bagley III and Derrick White. That now leaves 17 members on the squad, but it will need to be trimmed to 12 by the time the tournament begins on the first of September.
