Tom Brady is arguably the best football players of all time. He has won five Super Bowls and his most recent was just last season when he led his team back from a 28-3 deficit. With this success comes large contracts and a lot of money. After years of hard work, Brady is showing off all of his hard work.
Aston Martin, a British car manufacturer, announced on Friday that they are signing Brady to a multi-year endorsement deal in which he will be driving around and showcasing the DB11, one of the most high-end cars on the market which starts at steep price of $211,995.
“As a longtime fan and driver, I am honored to join the Aston Martin team at this special moment in the company’s history,” Brady said in a statement.
This is quite the strange selection by Aston Martin for an endorsement deal. Of Course, Brady is one of the greatest athletes of all time. However, the people that are going to buy these cars are going to buy them whether they are being advertised or not, and they people that are not going to buy them are not going to suddenly change their mind to buy them. This brad is simply too expensive for the average consumer to buy; even a consumer who is relatively wealthy will not be able to buy this brand of cars.
This is why we don’t see high end cars being advertised as much as our main stream car brands such as ford, chevy, Toyota, etc. There is simply no need to advertise them. The buyers are already buying the brand’s cars and the majority of the population cannot afford to buy them. This is not a subscription to Netflix, this is a $211,995 car.
Nonetheless, nothing bad can come from having Tom Brady on your team. After all, he is a winner.
