Top 20 Point Guards In NBA History Ranked

9. Gary Payton

Gary “The Glove” Payton is a retired point guard, who played 17 season in the NBA, most of which for the Seattle Supersonics. Payton won the NBA championship in 2006 with the Miami Heat, and is a 9-time NBA All-Star. He’s also won gold for the US men’s basketball team in the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games.

In 2013, Payton was inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame. Personality wise, he’s known to have been a trash-talker, ranking third for having the most technical fouls of all time, earning a reputation for being an insubordinate and unpredictable presence among the players; however, that attitude began to change over the years, gaining recognition as a psychological leader for younger players.
