With Zion Williamson missing out from the start of Saturday’s second Tobacco Road showdown, North Carolina once again took full advantage to win 79-70 over bitter rivals Duke. The Tar Heels outplayed the Blue Devils in the second half, erasing a two point deficit from the first half on the way to the win. UNC, #3 in the country, got fine performances from a number of players, but it was freshman Coby White that led them with 21 points on the night, helping them clinch a share of ACC regular season title. RJ Barrett was typically good, scoring 26 points to lead all scorers, but it was not enough as Duke once again struggled without the aforementioned Williamson. If the big man doesn’t return, we might not be seeing them do nearly as well in the NCAA Tournament as we would all have expected them to do.
