The Michigan Wolverines under Jim Harbaugh just can’t seem to win the big game, and that once again reared its ugly head on Saturday as they fell 35-14 to the Wisconsin Badgers. Wisconsin led by 14 after one quarter and by 28 at half time as they running back Jonathan Taylor ran for 203 yards and two touchdowns.
Elsewhere, another team with playoff hopes fell as the UCF Knights lost to the Pitt Panthers 35-34. Pittsburgh seems to come up with an upset every single year, especially when they aren’t particularly good, and this turned out to be the one this year, besting the no. 15 team in the country via a trick play modeled after the one the Eagles used in the Super Bowl. It was the first loss handed to them in the regular season in 27 games, ending a heck of a run that had put them on the map.
