Alabama football has had its fair share of stories for and against them over the years. But no matter how you feel about them, this newest one is downright silly. With players currently being unable to train together along with coaching staff, it appears that some were given Apple Watches so that conditioning coaches and the like could track their progress.
According to the report, the SEC is aware that they did such a thing, but some feel like NCAA rules are being violated by doing so. Technically, maybe they are. But are we really going to believe that this is the only time the team have violated a rule or two? On top of that, it won’t be long before these players are getting paid, surely, so a few Apple Watches can’t really be that big of a deal, right? Good old amateur sports, huh?
