We haven’t heard a lot of talk from within the Houston Astros’ team since the news of their scandal and their ultimate punishment came down. On Saturday, we finally heard what Jose Altuve had to say. And basically, he was very, very optimistic, stating that he believed “everything would be fine.” Exactly what that means is unclear, seeing as how it is not.
They made a mockery out of the game. He even said he thought that they would be in the World Series this season in a confident, bordering upon cocky interview that will likely earn him no fans. A recent survey stated that an overwhelming majority of fans believe that the players involved should be punished as well. Altuve, now infamously according to internet theories, is thought to have possibly had a wire on in the 2019 ALCS when he homered off of the Yankees, as he refused to let his jersey be ripped. Who knows, but it’s very clear they will have a rocky, not-so-fun time of it anytime they play on the road this upcoming season- and beyond.
