There is plenty to be happy about right now if you are a fan of soccer in America. While the women’s team is always good, the men’s team is shaping up or appears to be, with plenty of young prospects. On the coaching side, we finally have one of our own at a big European club. That man’s name is Jesse Marsch. That was announced on Thursday by RB Leipzig, one of the top teams in Germany for the last couple of seasons.

Marsch takes over the role after the previous manager Julian Nagelsmann signed a deal to take the highly-coveted Bayern Munich job. Marsch has been steadily working his way into this specific job, going from the New York Red Bulls to the assistant job at RBL and then to the RB Salzburg team in Austria. He found success there, and he waited for his time, and he’s now been appointed at the ‘big’ club for his efforts. It’s a big day for American soccer, that much is for sure!
