It was just another day at the office on Friday night for the Cincinnati Bearcats this week. The #7 team in the nation rolled to another win, improving to a 7-0 record, by easily trouncing East Carolina by a score of 55-7 in front of a national television audience. Bearcats QB Desmond Riddler riddled the Pirates defense by throwing for three touchdowns and over 300 yards while ECU running back Keaton Mitchell had over 100 on the ground and a rushing TD in an otherwise forgetful performance from them.
The win made Cincy 5-0 in the American Athletic Conference and it saw them remain in the conversation for an unlikely playoff berth. Away trips to UCF, Temple, and Tulsa are on their schedule for the rest of the regular season. They have beaten two ranked teams in Army and SMU thus far, so they are looking good for at least a New Year’s Bowl at this stage.
