The sign stealing scandal just isn’t going away for the Houston Astros, is it? They “apologized” a couple of days ago, but that has hardly done much to quell talk all over the media and the league. Cody Bellinger, one of the game’s current top players, made his thoughts very clear when interviewed, stating that he believed they had a ring stolen from them (i.e. the Dodgers).
It’s still painful for them, and you can’t really blame them at all. As for someone that was closer to the story, Tony Kemp, now of the Oakland A’s, also stated that he did not partake in the scheme during a month-or-so run in September of 2017. Kemp said that he was asked to participate and declined. It seems as if this is true, and it really just goes to show that if anyone had the guts to speak up it all could have ended. But no one, including the manager did, and it has led to all of this.
