The Buffalo Bills feel like they were just a couple of pieces away from going all the way last season. As such, they are making some moves quickly in this offseason. On Monday, they acquired wide receiver Stefon Diggs from the Minnesota Vikings, giving up first, fifth, and sixth round picks from this draft as well as a fourth rounder in next year’s.
They receive the wide out, as well as a seventh round pick in this year’s selection. This deal seems to make perfect sense. It is no secret that the Bills were great defensively, yet they lacked a spark on offense. Some will point toward the ineptitude of quarterback Josh Allen, but he does need some weaponry to be successful. With Diggs’ addition, there will no longer by any excuses. It’s either sink or swim, as Diggs is the third most prolific receiver in terms of yards after catch in the league. Might this finally take them past the Patriots and hand them hegemony in the AFC East?
