Boca Raton Bowl: BYU Crushes UCF

Jonathan Grant | December 23rd, 2020

After such a successful season, one in which they went 10-1, the @#16 BYU Cougars might have been a little disappointed that they had to finish it out by taking on 6-3 UCF in the Boca Raton Bowl. Though it was not a flashy nationally well-known game, the Cougars still went out with a bang, hammering the Knights 49-23 to underline their credentials one more time.

Quarterback Zach Wilson, a man that will be in the NFL, was impressive, completing 26 of 34 throws for 425 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Tyler Allgeier was also great, racking up 173 yards on 19 carries and one TD. The win saw the Cougars finish the season at 11-1, and now it’s just a case of waiting to see exactly where their ranking will be when all the others are done as well.
