Bogdanovic Drains Dagger To Defeat Rockets

Having lost five games in a row rather recently, the Utah Jazz were reeling. However, they picked up a second win in a row on Sunday, getting a brilliant three-pointer at the buzzer from Bogdan Bogdanovic to take a 114-133 road win off the Houston Rockets. Bogdanovic is such an unlikely hero that he stated he didn’t even expect to be on the floor, much less the man to take the final shot. But he was, shooting over two Rockets defenders to drain what looked to be an impossible shot. Prior to that, though, they had to get 30 points- from the bench- from Jordan Clarkson to stay in it.

Donovan Mitchell added 24 of his own as well. Those players needed to step up because the big two of Houston certainly did. Russell Westbrook had 39 points and James Harden recorded a triple-double with 28 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists in the narrow defeat. Besides those two, though, none of the other seven that played had more than 14. You can see the deficiencies from a mile away, and it makes you wonder if the window has closed on the Rockets to ever win an NBA Finals…
