Few people are talking about it, but perhaps that should be changed. The Phoenix Suns are one of the hottest, if not the hottest teams in the NBA at the moment. Three teams have won eight of their last ten, and the Suns are on that list. On Wednesday night, they continued that momentum by winning their fourth consecutive and seventh from their last eight. Devin Booker was a big reason for their success on this particular night, as he had a season-high 45 points in the 121-116 win over the new-look Chicago Bulls.
Of course, they didn’t just get a fine scoring performance out of him. Chris Paul was also instrumental, orchestrating the win by posting a double-double that included 14 assists and 19 points. The win places the Suns at a 33-14 record, good enough for second place in the Western Conference and three games off the summit currently held by the Utah Jazz. As for the Bulls, Nikola Vucevic, recently acquired from the Magic, had 24 points and ten rebounds in the loss. They are now 19-27, three games off eighth in the East but still very much alive for some kind of playoff berth nonetheless.
