The Milwaukee Bucks will be able to clinch the NBA title at home come Game 6. Who would have thought that would have been the outcome given the start of the NBA Finals? Down 2-0 after two games in Phoenix, the Bucks responded by ‘holding serve’ at home in Games 3 and 4 and then officially made it a series by winning on the road on Saturday night. The 123-119 win over the Suns was a thriller as well, with the superstars shining on both sides of the floor.
Giannis led the way for the Bucks by dropping 32 while Khris Middleton chipped in 29 and Jrue Holiday ran the show by scoring 27 and assisting 13 times. The Suns, meanwhile, got fine showings from their best three as well. Devin Booker scored more than anyone in the contest, notching 40 to his name yet again, but Chris Paul also offered up 21 and dished out 11 assists while Deandre Ayton had 20 points and ten rebounds. The difference was the lead that Milwaukee had built up. They led by ten with 3:18 on the clock; though the Suns fought back to get it closer, they just couldn’t get close enough. They will now go to Milwaukee on Tuesday night knowing they must win to keep up their hopes of bringing home a championship.
