New Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman Calais Campbell is very clearly not afraid to voice his opinion on who the favorites to win the Super Bowl are this season. The former Jacksonville Jaguars man, traded back in March in exchange for a fifth-round Draft pick, stated that his current team is “very, very talented” and that “this is probably going to be the best shot I have.”
He’s been in one prior Super Bowl, in which he was on the losing end, so he does know a thing or two about getting there. You can’t help but feel he’s right- at least to a degree. The Ravens have a high-powered offense with Lamar Jackson capable of running and throwing for thousands of yards over the course of a season. He led the team to a 14-2 regular season record last year, only to succumb to a surprise loss in the AFC Divisional Round. Fans of the Ravens, and Campbell himself, will be hoping they can go much further when it counts this time around.
