The #1 Alabama Crimson Tide, without starting QB and reigning Heisman winner Bryce Young, had a bit of a scare on Saturday night at home to Texas A&M, but in the end they held on, preserving top spot with a 24-20 win that saw them move to 6-0 on the year. Jalen Milroe threw for three TD’s in his stand-in duties while Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 154 yards on 21 carries to lift them to the closer-than-expected victory.

Elsewhere, most of the top teams rolled, with #2 Georgia, #3 Ohio State, and #4 Michigan all producing lopsided wins in their favor. #8 Tennessee had an impressive ‘W’ on the road, lashing #25 LSU 40-13. #17 TCU beat #19 Kansas 38-31 and #18 UCLA overcame #11 Utah 42-32 in the other games that featured two ranked foes against one another. Ranked teams that fell, apart from the aforementioned, included #21 Washington, #13 Kentucky, and #16 BYU. In total, 15 teams remain unbeaten across the college football landscape, each hoping to make their way into the College Football Playoff at year’s end.
