The second edition of Thursday Night Football of 2022 is in the books, and it will go down as quite a memorable one as the Kansas City Chiefs came from behind to take down the LA Chargers 27-24 to take early-season control of the AFC West. Justin Herbert was fantastic for the host Chargers, outshining Patrick Mahomes with three touchdown tosses and 334 yards before he was injured late in the going.

The one blemish he had, though, was rather big, with the Chiefs taking an interception back to the house for a 99-yard return TD. That gave KC their first lead of the entire game, and they would never look back from there. Jaylen Watson was the man that returned that pick-six while the aforementioned Mahomes, who was quiet compared to his usual lofty standards, was able to produce two touchdowns and 235 yards through the air. The one turnover of the game proved costly, and it means that the Chiefs are once again in a control of a division that they have become so accustomed to controlling over the last few years.
