Cincy Defeats USF, Remains Unbeaten

10-0. That’s what is next to the Bearcats of Cincinnati’s names after ten games. Friday night was their latest outing, a trip to Tampa to take on South Florida. The Bulls were not supposed to be a threat, and they largely weren’t outside of taking a shock lead and also playing well in the third to keep it respectable.

It took Cincy some time to get going, but once they struck they would rack up 31 consecutive points to take a commanding lead that they never relinquished. Desmond Ridder racked up 304 yards in the air and had three total touchdowns (two via the pass, one on the ground) while running back Ryan Montgomery rushed just six times for 72 yards and a pair of TD’s. One of those was a 55-yard scamper with less than a minute-and-a-half to go, icing the game and further solidifying the Bearcats’ case to be included in the College Football Playoff. They’re #5 now, but it looks like they’ll need some help from someone soon.
