Rivalry is a natural part of the fabric of sports. Some rivalries are great while others are baffling and don’t exactly draw a lot of attention. For some reason, the one pitting Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka, there is a little bit of each. This one has been fairly petty, quite honestly, since the beginning and doesn’t have a lot of real bite to it, but it’s drawn a ton of attention anyway.
And as a result of that, it clouded over the USA’s Ryder Cup victory over Team Europe to some degree and now it has led to the fifth edition of ‘The Match’ being between the two. The pair will face off one-on-one in Las Vegas over 12 holes on the day after Thanksgiving and will be the first time that’s taken place since Tiger vs Phil in 2018. Both players have won eight times on the PGA Tour, though Koepka has the edge in majors at four to one over DeChambeau.
