We are getting close to the end of the Australian Open now. You can see the light at the end of the tunnel. This year’s final will not have Roger Federer in it, despite the magical run he had ahead of the semi-final.
That’s because of Novak Djokovic, who showed no mercy in dumping him out in straight sets (6-7, 4-6, 3-6) to reach what will be his eighth Aussie final. In the women’s semis, it was a similar story as top seed Ash Barty fell at the hands of #14 ranked American Sofia Kenin. The 7-6, 7-5 victory was not easy, but in the end she pulled it off, setting up a clash with Garbine Muguruza in the final to come.
