The Los Angeles Dodgers are not happy, make no mistake about that, that they lost the 2017 World Series to the cheating Houston Astros. However, they are not going overboard by asking to be crowned as champions despite that fact. A number of them on Saturday, citing that they didn’t earn the title, stated that they simply did not want it bestowed upon them.
It’s very admirable, and you honestly have to agree with them if you are any kind of sportsman (or sportswoman) at all. While you may believe the title should be vacated by the Astros (and maybe the 2018 one from the Red Sox, but that is a different story), you can’t just give it to the Dodgers. We don’t know 100% sure if they’d have won if it was a ‘fair’ or ‘clean’ contest. Well, done Dodgers. And oh, this was a response to a city council meeting in LA that demanded they be awarded the 2017 and 2018 titles. So, there’s that, too.
