Doncic Has Another Career Night Over Blazers

Jonathan Grant | January 18th, 2020

Let’s just call a spade a spade here. If nothing happens to this man, not even a fully matured one at this point, either, he will become a legend. Luka Doncic continues to do things that just seem impossible for his age, doing them at a clip that is greater than LeBron James was accomplishing at the time. On Friday night, he kept it up with another career night against the Portland Trail Blazers.

He led the Dallas Mavericks to a 120-112 win on home court thanks to 35 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. It was his shooting from three-point land that made it a career night, with the 20-year old making eight of them on the evening to account for 24 of his points in the victory. The 29 scored by Tim Hardaway, Jr. shouldn’t be overlooked, either, as a key factor of the win, which was the fourth consecutive win for them as they now take a break for a couple of days. The Blazers, still working on climbing back up to a .500 record, got a monstrous double-double from Damian Lillard that included 34 points and ten assists as they came up short once again.
