Kevin Durant and co. have already made it clear that he is not yet healthy enough to go to Orlando with his Brooklyn Nets as the NBA plans to complete its 2019/20 season in a ‘bubble’ setting.
That comes despite the fact that many had opined he could indeed be ready for such a proposition. The Achilles, though, is a tough injury, and the Nets have too much money wrapped up in him to lose him for good. As such, he won’t be playing. But what if he was given the go-ahead? If that had happened, Durant stated on Thursday that he ‘probably wouldn’t have’ featured down there, leaving the league short of one of its major stars. While it is newsworthy, we also have to think about this. With it being widely known that he won’t be able to play, it’s very easy to armchair quarterback and say he wouldn’t. But it sure is interesting and makes for a nice headline, doesn’t it?
