One of the main problems, among many for sports organizers, with the Coronavirus revolved around what to do with the traditional ‘big continental’ tournaments. Due to the virus’ impact, UEFA have decided to postpone Euro 2020 to 2021, with South American soccer governing body CONMEBOL also electing to do the same.
The news emerged on Tuesday and came as no surprise after each had video conferences to determine how to best approach the situation. Now, the questions will turn to how the league and Champions League seasons are brought to a conclusion. There could be, well likely will be, some creativity, so stay tuned for that.
