The Los Angeles Clippers had done so, so well to come from two games down, once again, in their series with the Utah Jazz. In Game 5, however, they wouldn’t have the services of Kawhi Leonard, so it appeared that they wouldn’t have much of a chance. Cue ‘Playoff P’ to the scene.
Paul George, so often maligned for his lack of performance in the postseason, made up for it on this night in Salt Lake City, posting a double-double that included 37 points and 16 rebounds in a 119-111 win that gives the Clippers control of the series as it heads back to LA for Game 6. The Clippers also took advantage of Marcus Morris and Reggie Jackson playing well, as both had 25 and 22 points respectively. The team as a whole shot 51% from the field, making up for the lack of their star man and leader. Bojan Bogdanovic paced the Jazz with 32 in the defeat that leaves them on the brink of elimination having won each of the first two games.
