For the first of what should be many times, Giannis Antetokounmpo met Zion Williamson on the floor of an NBA game. This time, to no real surprise at all, it was the Milwaukee Bucks that came out on top, defeating the New Orleans Pelicans 120-108 in the Big Easy on Tuesday night. Of course, the story was Zion vs. Giannis, and it did not disappoint.
Giannis stated that he was impressed with Zion, who scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds in limited minutes, as well as take the ball out of Giannis’ hands- something few have the power or sheer audacity to do. However, Giannis, obviously, was the man in control. He finished the evening with 34 points and 17 rebounds in only 33 minutes of action himself. He also added six assists, which no doubt helped push their lead up as high as it was. In doing so, he made is ten games this season in which he’s scored 30+, had 10+ rebounds, and also had five or more assists. The Pelicans still have a long way to go, but it is very clear that they are much improved with their #1 pick out on the court.
