Judge Decisive Against Royals, Mets Come From Behind To Beat Fish

Aaron Judge is having the time of his life right now. The New York Yankees’ slugger is on absolute fire, and that persisted on Friday night as he dominated the Kansas City Royals in an 11-5 victory for his team. The lanky outfielder was responsible for two home runs on the evening, with a two-run shot coming in the third inning and a grand slam in the eighth that put the game out of reach once and for all for the visitors. Those six RBI’s brought his total up to 89, putting him in first by five over Pete Alonso.

The two dingers, meanwhile, gave him 41 on the season, nine clear of Kyle Schwarber. Oh, and he also robbed a homer, too, in what was truly an amazing performance from the big man. Meanwhile, the other New York team was also playing some fine baseball as they battled from a deficit twice early on to defeat the Miami Marlins 6-4. The Mets trailed 3-0 after one and 4-3 after two, but Starling Marte’s three-hit, three-RBI night and Brandon Nimmo’s two-run blast in the top of the eighth proved to be enough to keep them on top of the Atlanta Braves by three games in the NL East. Marte tripled and homered in the win as he continued a recent tear he’s been on for the Metropolitans.
