Kawhi, Giannis Crush NBA’s Lesser Lights

Kawhi Leonard and Giannis Antetokounmpo might have ‘only’ been facing off against the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New York Knicks, two of the weakest teams currently in the NBA, on Tuesday night, but that doesn’t mean what they accomplished was any small feat. In the Clippers’ 128-103 home win over the Cavaliers, Leonard scored the most points of his season thus far, recording 43 in the blowout.

Despite ‘losing’ the final quarter by ten, they still won easily, too, indicating how small the challenge for them was on the evening. As for Antetokounmpo, he also had a big night on his home floor. The Greek Freak helped the Bucks to a 128-102 win by collecting 37 points. He managed to rack that up despite playing just 21 minutes as well. That’s how you do load management right there, isn’t it? At least, that’s the ideal way. Play hard and kill off the game, and then rest. Unfortunately you can’t play the Knicks every night…
