It was tight and tense throughout virtually the whole game, but in the end Game 4 went the way of the Los Angeles Lakers as they went up 3-1 over the Miami Heat in their NBA Finals series. That win, like all wins in the Finals, is obviously massive, but that is even more the case here.
The Heat had just won Game 3, so a second consecutive win would not have only evened up the series but it also would have swung the momentum in a major way. LeBron James and co., though, were none too interested in letting the underdogs get back into it. James scored 28 points, leading all scorers, and also added 12 rebounds and eight assists in a near triple-double outing. Jimmy Butler had a line of 22-10-9 to almost record one of his own, but the Heat just didn’t have quite enough as they fell 102-96. They now will have to win three in a row to hoist the title.
