The Los Angeles Lakers are not having the easiest of times at the moment in terms of personnel. Having already seen guard Avery Bradley opt to not play in the Orlando ‘bubble,’ we got news of Rajon Rondo breaking his thumb on Sunday to further compound the woes.
The injury occurred during practice, only their second one in Orlando, and it means that he will miss an estimated time frame of 6-8 weeks. Rondo is the main ‘point guard’ on the roster, and he’s the man that’s been given the duty of ball handling when LeBron James- the de facto point guard- is on the bench. So, this is far from ideal for the Lakers and yet another reason why some would make other teams the favorite to win this year’s title.
