Patrick Mahomes is very good, isn’t he? And when he’s at this best, it’s extremely difficult to stop the Kansas City Chiefs. On Sunday, Mahomes dominated the Arizona Cardinals on the road as the Chiefs eased to a 44-21 victory, throwing for five touchdown tosses and 360 yards while completing 31 of the 39 passes he attempted. Two of those five TD’s came in the first quarter, and he helped the Chiefs to a big 23-7 lead at the half before aiding them to extend it further (37-7) by the end of the third. Travis Kelce was his favorite target, making eight grabs for 121 yards and a TD.

Elsewhere, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers shut down the Dallas Cowboys on the first edition of Sunday Night Football of the 2022 season as they won 19-3 at ‘JerryWorld.’ The Bucs’ defense only allowed 12 first downs and 244 total yards from the hosts as Tom Brady and co. went to 1-0 on the year. Leonard Fournette starred by rushing for 127 yards on 21 carries. The loss wasn’t the only bad news for Dallas, as Dak Prescott is set to miss several weeks having injured his hand. Insult to injury, or injury to insult. The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Green Bay Packers handily on Sunday, beating them 23-7 at home behind 184 receiving yards and two TD’s from Justin Jefferson while the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 in overtime. There was a tie on Sunday, too, as Indy and Houston played out a 20-20 draw after overtime when they could not be separated.
