NFL Off-Field News: Beckham Injured, Raiders Set For Big Fine

Jonathan Grant | October 27th, 2020

Odell Beckham, Jr. just can’t seem to catch a break anymore. Once one of the biggest stars in the league on the actual field of play, the wide receiver now is more popular on the screen via commercials. That trend might continue for a while longer now, as news emerged that he had torn his ACL on Sunday in the Cleveland Browns’ win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Obviously, that means his 2020 season is over early.

Bleeding Green Nation

This comes off the back of a less-than-stellar 2019, and there will be very big questions now about how good he will be when he does return. In other news, it looks as if the Las Vegas Raiders are headed for a very big fine, according to sources. The Tennessee Titans, of course, were handed a large $350K fine for violating Covid-19 protocols, and it is being reported that the Raiders are going to be slapped with an even larger one as the team’s culture has not taken the virus serious enough in the eyes of the NFL. There are also suggestions that draft picks could be taken away, making this an even bigger deal that could harm the franchise.
